Nadal, Ferrer have fun at the Rio Carnival

Rafael Nadal and David Ferrer may be enemy on court, but they are good friends everywhere else!

The duo went to the Carnival to sing the “Samba Enredo – Veias do Brasil” and they even tried some dancing.

Nadal: It was fantastic for me

Rafa was all smiles “It was the first time we had the chance to enjoy the Rio Carnaval and it has been an unforgettable experience. There was unbelievable positive energy [from] everyone. Everyone was singing and dancing; it was fantastic for me to have the chance to enjoy this unique experience.”

Ferrer: The atmosphere was amazing

David commented “It was really beautiful,” added Ferrer. “I had never been to the Rio Carnaval, or any Carnaval in Brazil, and the atmosphere was amazing. Everyone was so happy and dancing. Even with the rain, people really enjoyed their time here.

“I think I danced more today than I did in my entire life. I hope I can improve for next year. If I have the chance, I would love to do it again.”

Rafa and David will kick start their (tennis) campaign on Tuesday. Rafa will face home favorite Thomaz Bellucci while David will play Gimeno-Traver.
