Stefanos Tsitsipas and Gael Monfils are going to fight for a place in the final in Dubai. They are scheduled to play on Friday at 5 pm.
Tsitsipas
Stefanos is on a 7-matches winning streak after he and he reached the semifinal in Dubai. Even if the Greek appears a bit tired in the Emirates, he has managed to get to the final 4 playing very solid tennis.
Talking about his match against Monfils, Stefanos commented
“We’re both serving really well. We have a similar game style. I guess, I’m a bit more aggressive than him, but he’s much faster. I’m going to have to deal with all of that, be patient, play with passion as well, just wait for the opportunities to break him. I think I’m going to have to serve well.”
Monfils
Ranked no.23, Gael has a winning streak of 8 matches after he won the tournament in Rotterdam and he reached the semifinal in Dubai. Gael got to the final 4 in the Emirates after beating Cilic 6-3 4-6 6-0, Baghdatis 6-3 6-2, and Berankis 6-1 6-7 (3) 6-2. The Frenchman is arguably playing the best tennis of his career and he has a handsome 12-2 win-loss record in 2019.
