As a result of her run to the Surbiton Trophy semifinals, Katie Boulter has overtaken Emma Raducanu as the top female player in the United Kingdom. When Boulter, 26, competes in the Nottingham Open this week, she will hold the top spot for the first time in her career.
Following her victory at the US Open in 2021, Raducanu, 20, rose to the top spot in Britain, but since then, she has struggled with ailments.
Following her three victories at Surbiton, Boulter is currently ranked 126 in the world, two spots and 19 points ahead of Raducanu. Jodie Burrage is ranked 131, Katie Swan is ranked 134, and Harriet Dart is ranked 143, all of whom are not far behind. After having hand and ankle surgery, which also kept her out of the French Open, Raducanu is expected to miss the summer season, including Wimbledon.

Currently ranked no.128, the Brit played her last match on the 18th of April when she capitulated to world no.17 Jelena Ostapenko 6-2 6-1 in the 1st round in Stuttgart (draw).
At present, during this year Raducanu has managed to achieve a compiled 5-5 match record.
Katie Boulter in 2023
Currently the world no.126, Katie played her last match on the 10th of June when she was overcome by world no.114 Yanina Wickmayer 6-3 6-2 in the semifinal of the W100 Surbiton (draw).
This season Katie has managed to achieve a 22-10 match record. Katie clinched 1 title Canberra. Boulter was the finalist in the W80 Gifu and the W60 Fukuoka.
Emma Raducanu and Katie Boulter clashed against each other only once. Their head to head is 1-0 for Boulter. When they played, Katie Boulter won 6-2 2-1 ret. in the 2nd round in W25 Solapur (W25 Solapur) in December 2019.
