It’s official! Roger Federer will be back to play on clay in Madrid after 2 years that he was missing the dirt.
Why Federer decided to play in Madrid
The Swiss sensation chose to confirm his participation in Madrid because the conditions are the most suitable for his tennis as the event is played in altitude where the balls fly pretty fast. Roger won the tournament in Madrid on 3 occasions (2006, 2009, and 2012). Last time that Roger won this title, it was on the controversial blue clay.
