Naomi Osaka is more and more the leader of the WTA rankings. The Japanese didn’t play last week in Doha (injury), but since the previous world no.2 Petra Kvitova wasn’t able to defend her title in Qatar, Naomi now leads the new world no.2 (Simona Halep) by 1,433 points.
Halep
After reaching the final in Doha, Simona gains 1 place in the rankings to be the new world no.2. Since her gap is still vast with the world no.1, she may need to wait a bit to have a good shot at the top of the ranking again.
