Kyrgios to partner with Malaysia Airlines

Nick Kyrgios will be back to his origins to partner with Malaysia Airlines.

As many kids in Australia, Nick was born from a mixed couple. His father is Greek (you can get it from his surname) and his mother, Norlaila, is from Malaysia.

Malaysian Airlines wants to rejuvenate its image and Nick was definitely something worth to look at, so they did strike a deal with Kyrgios that will be their brand ambassador.

Nick: I have been using Malaysia Airlines for long time

Kyrgios commented “While I was born and brought up in Australia, I’m really proud of my family culture and very close to my Malaysian family. I’ve flown with Malaysia Airlines to visit them since I was a boy and my mum and extended family have always associated the airline with home. I feel privileged to become a friend of the airline – it will enable me to keep that important link with my family culture.”

From Malaysian Airlines

PK Lee, the Regional Senior Vice President of Malaysia Airlines, commented “His breakthrough performances on the world tennis circuit moved us all this year and we’re determined to help him achieve his dreams in 2015 and rise even further up the world rankings.”

Malaysia Airlines is trying to reestablish her reputation after a terrible year when they lost a carrier and then another airplane was shot down in Ukraine. “Obviously what happened this year [with Malaysia Airlines] was very sad for all those families affected,” Kyrgios  said.
