Lorenzo Musetti has just won one of the most important matches of his still-young career in Monte Carlo, where he defeated world No. 1 Novak Djokovic after winning a thrilling 3-setter 4-6 7-5 6-4. Lorenzo didn’t play at his very best for the first set and a half, but he found the solution in the decider after the match was stopped on a 4-6 7-5 1-1 scoreline for the rain. Musetti won the decisive break in the 7th game before serving out the match while leading 5-4.
Lorenzo was extremely emotional after the match, and his coach Simone Tartarini was fighting tears.
