
Anastasia Potapova, a Russian tennis player, claims she “does not care” about the recent accusations Iga Swiatek leveled at her. Potapova made the decision to enter the court for her third-round encounter in Indian Wells sporting a Spartak Moscow shirt.
The Russian tennis player Potapova defended herself by saying that she was just a huge Spartak supporter, despite the fact that some perceived it as her conveying a controversial political message. Potapova’s behavior was criticized by Swiatek as being unacceptable in either case.
Potapova commented: “Every person has the right to choose: so to go to the match in a Spartak T-shirt was my personal choice. She condemned me, but I don’t care about her complaints. If she wants to blame me for something, then I wish her good luck. I don’t pay any attention to it.”
