Frances Tiafoe withdraws from Monte Carlo

Tiafoe withdrew from Monte-Carlo Masters due to delayed US Men's Clay Court Championships, and is expected to play next at ATP 500 Barcelona Open.

Francis Tiafoe withdrew from the Monte-Carlo Masters, the first Masters 1000 event on clay for the season, as a result of the delayed conclusion of his campaign at the 2023 US Men’s Clay Court Championships. Jiri Lehecka was Frances Tiafoe’s opponent in his opening match at the Monte-Carlo Masters.

Lehecka will now compete against Finnish lucky loser Emil Ruusuvuori. Tiafoe is anticipated to play next at the ATP 500 Barcelona Open, where he will play alongside players like Carlos Alcaraz, Rafael Nadal, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Daniil Medvedev, Casper Ruud, Jannik Sinner, and others.
