Simona Halep is a lady on a mission and she really wants to become the world no.1
Now ranked no.3, Simona had a great year to win 2 titles (Bucharest and Doha) and reach the finals in Madrid, Singapore and at the French Open.
Halep wanted to achieve more to split with her (now former) coach Wim Fissette and hire fellow compatriot Victor Ionita has her full time coach.
Simona didn’t stop there to also hire Thomas Hostedt as her consultant for the first 3 months covering the Shenzhen Open, the Sydney International and the Australian Open.
Hostedt has already coached top players such as Sharapova, Stephens and Wozniacki.
In the mean time Simona is training…. Rocky’s style!
