Emma Raducanu has been struggling with her wrist since last year and she hasn’t recovered yet. The British sensation provided some updates about her physical condition after defeating Beatriz Haddad Maia in Indian Wells and before facing Iga Swiatek.
Soon after her match, Emma commented:
“Physically I actually feel pretty good. I have been managing my wrists, obviously. But that’s something that I’m continuing to manage, and I’m doing everything off the court to try and make them in the best possible place to compete.”

At the moment ranked no.77, the Brit has an overall 5-2 win-loss record in 2023. Emma is now having a run in Indian Wells where she bested the world no.62 Danka Kovinic 6-2 6-3, the world no.21 Magda Linette 7-63 6-2 and the world no.13 Beatriz Haddad Maia 6-1 2-6 6-4.
Emma Raducanu will compete against the world no.1 Iga Swiatek in the 4th round on Tuesday at 8:00 pm on STADIUM 1. Their actual head to head record is 1-0 for Swiatek.
Raducanu is expected to play next in Miami (Miami Open). She is currently an alternate. The main draw will start on the 21st of March.

Ranked world no.1, the Pole achieved a compiled 14-3 record in 2023. Iga is playing in Indian Wells where she toppled the world no.56 Claire Liu 6-0 6-1 and the world no.36 Bianca Vanessa Andreescu 6-3 7-61.
