Stefanos Tsitsipas has always stated that his fantastic one-handed backhand is the result of being inspired by Pete Sampras and Roger Federer.
The world no.15 is currently preparing for the next season, and he will have the fantastic chance to train with his childhood (and current) idol Roger Federer later on in Dubai.
Why Tsitsipas needs to train with Federer
During a recent interview, it was Stefanos’ father, Apostolos, to explain why it’s so important for his son to practice with the Swiss Maestro
“Players need inspiration,” Apostolos commented. “They receive it from parents, coaches and the whole environment, but mainly from other players.
Stefanos was inspired by Roger. He is a great tennis player and a great person. If we look at our lives, we got inspired by someone, who had an important role in our life.
It would be really nice if Stefanos became a role model for young guys.”
