Tuesday’s Rotterdam ATP 500 tournament saw top seeds Stefanos Tsitsipas and Felix Auger-Aliassime advance to the second round. Tsitsipas defeated Emil Ruusuvuori of Finland 7-5, 6-1 in just over an hour and a half. Tsitsipas lost to Novak Djokovic in the Australian Open final.
The third-ranked player in the world, from Greece, will next play the winner of Wednesday’s match between Jannik Sinner and Benjamin Bonzi of France. Sinner will likely be the next in line for Stefanos. Tsitsipas acknowledged that he had at first found it difficult to settle in against Ruusuvori.
“I had an opportunity in the last game to come back. I revived from that, I regenerated some awesome tennis and I recaptured that first set, which was crucial,” he commented.
“I think from that point onwards it was flawless tennis. I was able to produce some really good shots.”

Currently ranked no.3 (career-high), the Greek achieved a composed 13-1 match record in 2023. The Greek is currently playing in Rotterdam where he ousted the world no.52 Emil Ruusuvuori 7-5 6-1.
Tsitsipas was the finalist at the Australian Open.

Tsitsipas is scheduled to compete next in Acapulco (Abierto Mexicano Telcel). He will start the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 27th of February.
Jannik Sinner in 2023
WWWWWWWWWW Ranked world no.14, Sinner played his last match on the 12th of February when he defeated world no.40 Maxime Cressy 7-6(3) 6-3 in the final in Montpellier to win his 7th career title.
This season Sinner has a composed 8-2 win-loss record. This year, Sinner won 1 tournament in Montpellier.
Sinner has scheduled to compete next in Marseille (Open 13 Provence). He will begin to play the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 20th of February.
