Alycia Parks has just reached the first WTA final of her young career in Lyon, where she will face home favorite Caroline Garcia for the title on Sunday. Alycia is extremely pleased with her performance this week.
After the match, she commented:
“I think the key was just staying focused, and taking my time out there. Every time I got ahead of myself, I would kind of lose points, so I would tell myself to slow down.
“This whole week, I’m kind of relaxed this week, and just kept playing my game and doing me.”
Following her run in France, Alicia Parks has also reached her career high in the live rankings, going up 17 places. She will be ranked the number 62 on Monday and 51 if she conquers her maiden WTA title.
