Nick Kyrgios has recently stated that he prefers pocketing money from exhibitions to playing the Davis Cup representing his country. The Australian player stressed that he does not feel respected by his fellow citizens.
The world number 22 was quite upset after retired Ashley Barty received the prestigious John Newcombe Medal Award. He took on social media, saying: “LOL. No respect at all. I don’t give a f**k.”
He then shared a message from the ATP Tour announcing that he and his partner Thanasi Kokkinakis had won the title of “Fans’ Favorite” doubles pair, concluding with the phrase “Obviously, lol.”

Now the world no.22, Kyrgios played his last match on the 6th of October when he beat world no.77 Kamil Majchrzak 3-6 6-2 6-2 in the 2nd round in Tokyo (draw).
This season Kyrgios has managed to achieve an overall 37-10 match record. This year, Kyrgios conquered 1 tournament in Washington. Nick got to the final in Wimbledon.
