Roger will kick off the next season in Brisbane
Roger Federer wasn’t keen to compete in a build up tournament before the Australian Open. Last year the Maestro gave it a shot and he was rather pleased by the outcome. Roger reached the final and he felt that Brisbane was the right choice even if he didn’t shine in the final (defeated by Hewitt). For this reason, Roger will give it another try in 2015.

In a statement Roger commented “The conditions are very similar to Melbourne so I think it’s an ideal preparation for the Australian Open,
It’s an important tournament on my calendar, a tournament I’m very happy to go back to and I was very excited to go there for the first time this year. When I sign up for a tournament it’s because I’m going to try to win it and I want to enjoy the week there.”
