Djokovic beats Kohlschreiber to reach the 22nd consecutive major QF

Novak Djokovic produces another great performance against Kohlschreiber  to reach his 22nd straight quarter final in a major.

After a great start of the match (6-1 in the first set) Nole had to save a set point in the second set when he was 4-5 30-40 down. That was a key point of the match as after that Nole won 5 consecutive games to be 2 sets and 1 break up. Finally the world no.1 won 6-1 7-5 6-4.

Nole: The set point was a turning point

Nole commented “The set point was one of the turning points of the match. If he had won that point, won the second set, it’s pretty even. So it’s a big point, and I tried to get the crowd engaged.”

Next vs. Murray

Nole will play Andy Murray in a blockbuster quarter final. Head to head is 12-8 for the Serbian that is the favorite to reach the semifinal. This is the repetition of the 2012 final when Andy won his first slam.
