
Carlos Alcaraz did not have a great stint after he won the recent U.S. Open. After a break, Carlito played in Astana, where he lost in his opening match to lucky loser David Goffin. The world number one took another break of two weeks before playing three consecutive tournaments in Basel, Paris, and the ATP finals in Turin.
Alcaraz has been training for many years with his coach and former world number one Juan Carlos Ferrero, who published the following post on social media.

LWWWWLWWWW Ranked no.1, Alcaraz played his last match on the 4th of October when he capitulated to world no.58 David Goffin 7-5 6-3 in the 1st round in Astana (draw).
During this season the Spaniard has managed to achieve a 52-11 record. Carlos conquered 5 titles in 2022 in Rio de Janeiro, Miami, Barcelona, Madrid and U.S. Open. Alcaraz reached the final in Hamburg and in Umag.
He is also scheduled to play in Paris (Rolex Paris Masters) after Basel. The main draw will start on the 24th of October.
