Iga Swiatek, Anett Kontaveit, Paula Badosa and Coco Gauff are the top players who will be in action in San Diego from the 10th of October. All of them agreed to participate in this packed WTA500. The participation is so high that world number 22 Amanda Anisimova is currently part only of the alternate list for the main draw.

Iga Swiatek in 2022
Now the world no.1, Swiatek played her last match on the 10th of September when she beat world no.2 Ons Jabeur 6-2 7-6(5) in the final of the U.S. Open to win her 10th career title.
Currently, during this season Swiatek achieved a composed 57-7 match record. Swiatek has won 7 titles in 2022 in Doha, Indian Wells, Miami, Stuttgart, Rome, French Open and U.S. Open.
Swiatek is scheduled to play next in Ostrava (Ostrava Open). She will start the tournament from the main draw on the 3rd of October.
Kontaveit in Tallinn, ranking, and results in 2022
Now ranked no.4, Kontaveit achieved a 28-14 win-loss record in 2022. Kontaveit is now having a run in Tallinn where she toppled the world no.58 Xiyu Wang 3-6 6-2 7-5, the world no.75 Tereza Martincova 6-2 6-1 and the world no.138 Ysaline Bonaventure 6-3 3-6 6-3.
Anett Kontaveit will play the world no.32 Kaia Kanepi in the semifinal on Saturday at 6:00 pm on Center Court. They have never competed against each other up to now in top tournaments.
The Estonian conquered 1 title in 2022 in St. Petersburg. Kontaveit got to the final in Doha (Qatar TotalEnergies Open) and in Hamburg (European Open).
Anett won 6 titles in her career: 1 on hard courts, 4 on indoor courts and 1 on grass courts. (See the list of her titles)
Kontaveit will play next in Ostrava (Ostrava Open). She will start the tournament from the main draw on the 3rd of October.

Currently, during this year Paula has a 30-18 win-loss record. The Spaniard has won 1 title in Sydney.
Coco Gauff in 2022
Currently the world no.8 (career-high), the American played her last match on the 6th of September when she surrendered to world no.10 Caroline Garcia 6-3 6-4 in the quarter in the U.S. Open (draw).
This season Gauff has a 34-17 win-loss record. Coco Gauff’s most significant achievement of the present season was getting to the final at the French Open.
