Carlos Alcaraz will try to preserve his world number 1 status in the ATP ranking in the next few months. Carlito has declared his schedule revealing the tournaments he will play from now until the end of the season.
Carlito revealed: “After the break, I will play Astana, Basel, Paris, the ATP Finals and the Davis Cup Finals. I will try to finish the season as world no. 1,”
Casper Ruud, Rafael Nadal and Daniil Medvedev are next in line in the rankings.
Carlos Alcaraz in 2022
Ranked no.1, Carlos played his last match on the 18th of September when he defeated world no.74 Soon-Woo Kwon 6-4 7-6(1) in the Rubber 2 of the Davis Cup (draw).
Until now, during this year Alcaraz achieved a composed 52-10 win-loss record. The Spaniard conquered 5 titles in 2022 in Rio de Janeiro, Miami, Barcelona, Madrid and U.S. Open. Carlos was the runner-up in Hamburg and in Umag.
