Stefanos Tsitsipas is the sportsman of the moment in Greece and one of the most interesting prospects in tennis. The world no.15 has just met the Greek President and he is having the attention of all the media.
Of course, Stefanos had to work hard for this success and the most interesting part was probably when he decided to go for it.
When Tsitsipas decided to become a pro tennis player
Stefanos’ mother, Julia Apostoli, had a nice interview with the Italian newspaper, La Gazzetta dello Sport, to reveal an interesting episode to comment
“it was Stefanos to understand [that he wanted to be a tennis player] when he was 10 or 11. He was playing tennis, but also soccer and basketball. After a tournament in France, he woke up my husband in the middle of the night to tell him ‘I do not want to play any other sports, I want to become a tennis player.'”
And that was it!
