In the final, the Australian was opposed to the rising star and home favorite Wang Qiang that also demolished Garbine Muguruza 6-2 6-0 in the semifinal.
The Australian immediately made her point in the final after conquering a strong 4-0 lead before winning the opener 6-3. The second set was much more even, and eventually the only difference was just 1 break for the Australian that won the encounter after just 81 minutes.
After this week Ashleigh will reach a world no.15 career high.
