Simona Halep withdraws from Topshelf with injury, no problems for Wimbledon

Simona Halep could not complete her tournament in The Netherlands because of a minor injury.  The Romanian was playing against Annika Beck and she was 5-7 3-2 when “I felt pain in my shoulder and my rib was contracted, but the injury shouldn’t really be that bad. The trainer told me to stop playing because it could possibly get worse, so I listened and decided to retire. I think I will be fine for Wimbledon”.

So Simona should play the Championships. Halep wasn’t the only casualty as also Carla Suarez Navarro and Vania King had to retire.
