Naomi Osaka’s coach, Sascha Bajin, used to be the “main” hitting partner of Serena Williams for long time and therefore, he knows really well what it takes to get to that (stellar) level.
Sascha is doing a fantastic job with Naomi in helping the Japanese to win huge titles such as Indian Wells and the US Open. However, Bajin is convinced that this is just the beginning and he has huge plans for the Japanese.
Why Naomi Osaka in poised to be one of the greatest.
During a recent interview, Sascha commented
“Naomi definitely has the game to be one of the greats.
She has a huge serve, she has a big forehand, she moves really well and she understands the game right now.
I do believe that there are certain things we’re trying to improve on a bit more. But I don’t see any limit to how many titles she can take or if she can be number one in the world. I truly believe that.
I just hope that I’m going to be the man helping her. If not, somebody else will. I do believe that she has greatness within herself.”
Naomi will now play in Singapore where she is one of the hottest favorites to win the title. Osaka is currently ranked no.4 and if she has a good season’s finale and a great run at the Australian Open she has a huge chance to become the new world no.1.
