The Maestro loses early at the Roland Garros? No problem he will head to Wimbledon to win his 8th title.
Roger Federer was disappointed by his early loss in Paris at the hands of Gulbis, but it seems that he feels already prepared for Wimbledon that is probably his main target of the year.
Soon after his exit from the French Open, Roger declared that mentally he has already switched on grass.
Federer: yes I can win Wimbledon!
As soon as Roger was asked if he can win Wimbledon he replied. “Yeah, I do feel so. I think when I’m healthy, like I have been now for the last six to nine months, I think clearly I can also decide the outcome of the matches more than I could last year.
So I’m very excited about my chances for Wimbledon now this time.”
Last year in Wimbledon Roger suffered from a horrible loss in the second round at the hands of the relatively unknown Sergei Stakhovsky. That was a weird loss as Roger looked to be in decent shape after winning in Halle, but apparently he was still struggling with his back.
Before heading to London, this year Roger will try to defend his title in Halle next week and then he will try to get his 8th Wimbledon.
This is going to be fun!
