Naomi Osaka impresses with a smooth win in the 1st round in Beijing against the world no. 91 Zarina Diyas.
What was remarkable for the Japanese wasn’t the result (6-4 6-3), but the fact that it seemed as she was in full control of the situation even if she wasn’t playing at her best and her only danger was just losing focus. In fact, the Japanese was sloppy when she was leading 6-4 5-1 to later drop her serve at 15 (5-3). However, Naomi had to just get back her focus and she broke her opponent in the following game before winning the match in just 68 minutes.
