Tiafoe replaces De Potro in the Team World

Frances Tiafoe will play again the Laver Cup after Juan Martin Del Potro pulled out for injury

Frances Tiafoe joins the Team World at the upcoming Laver Cup for the second consecutive year.

The upcoming American will replace Juan Martin Del Potro that is still recovering from the great run he had at the recent US Open where he reached the final.

France was already part of the inaugural Laver Cup in Prague where he truly enjoyed the experience. The American commented

“Laver Cup was one of the highlights of 2017 for me, I had an awesome time, and I’m so excited to join the team again and represent Team World in Chicago.

Last year we had a fantastic time in Prague and I’m really looking forward to playing at ‘home’ here in the USA. Chicagoans love their sports and I’m sure we’ll get some loud support for Team World. I can’t wait.”

The Laver cup will start the 21st of September and the inauguration will take place the 19th.
