Former world no.5 Fernando Gonzales is definitely missing the tour after retiring.
The Chilean called it a career a couple years ago to be back and coach world no.47 Santiago Giraldo that has recently reached a surprising final in Barcelona (a strong hold for Nadal and Ferrer).
Gonzo commented “I spoke with Santi about a month ago and we worked together in Miami the week before Barcelona. You could say I’m coming on board to help. Felipe Berón is fundamental to Santi’s career. I will be with him for a few weeks of the year.
It’s a very attractive challenge,” continued Gonzalez. “I retired two years ago and the competition is calling to me. The tour and the travel stay in your blood. “
