Stefanos Tsitsipas has been at the centre of a rather unpleasant controversy during the American summer. Stefanos was publicly slammed by Sascha Zverev and Andy Murray about his long toilet breaks. Both of them accused Tsitsipas of blatantly cheating. Indeed, the Greek player was taking a bit too much time during his toilet breaks, but it was highly improbable that he was cheating like getting coached by his father while in the bathroom.
Nevertheless, the accusations took a toll on Tsitsipas, which was also widely blasted on social media. Finally, Stefanos decided to take the controversy with the right dose of humorism.
A tennis writer commented that it seemed that Arantxa Sanchez Vicario’s bathroom break during the movie King Richard seemed to be longer in movie time than the ones of Stefanos Tsitsipas. The Greek had a cheeky reply to say:
“Ask my girlfriend regarding bathroom breaks… it’s been pissing her off since day one.”
