After she won the US Open title, Emma Raducanu became one of the most popular figures in the UK. The British sensation was the third-most Googled person in the UK in 2021 and it is not surprising that other celebrities or brands are very happy to liaise with her.
When she was back in London, Emma had the opportunity to play tennis with Kate Middleton during an event. Indeed, the Duchess also impressed the attending people for being rather good at tennis while playing with Emma.
During a recent interview with PEOPLE, Raducanu talked about that experience to say: “It was a pretty surreal experience to be playing tennis with the Duchess.”
Emma was struck by how humble Kate was during the event to say: “It was kind of crazy, but she was really down to earth and normal. So I found it a really cool experience.”
Finally, the US Open champion said that Kate is a great inspiration, especially for her charity work.
“I think the Duchess is such a great inspiration, just with how she handles everything and how she does so much good work for charities. She’s a real inspiration to the whole country,” Emma commented.

At the moment ranked no.19 (career-high), the Brit played her last match on the 9th of November when she surrendered to world no.102 Xin Yu Wang 6-1 6-7(0) 7-5 in the 2nd round in Linz (draw).
This season Raducanu has achieved a composed 25-9 win-loss record. The Brit has won 1 title at the U.S. Open. Raducanu reached the final in the Chicago.
