Emma Raducanu had a truly remarkable 2021 not only for her incredible US Open title but also for how the year started.
During a lovely interview with Sky Sport, Emma Raducanu confessed that she did not pick a racket for 3 months at the beginning of the year. The only thinking that Emma used to have at that time about tennis was just what would have been her next tournament.
Later, Emma was delighted to learn that she got a wild card for the Wimbledon main draw. Eventually, the new British sensation managed to reach the second week at the Championships. Things got even better when she won the US Open starting from the qualification draw.
When asked about what she learned in 2021, Emma said: “Resilience.”
