Matteo Berrettini and Ajla Tomljanovic decided to take a break from tennis after a tough but successful season. The couple enjoyed a nice vacation at the beach doing all sorts of activities.

Now ranked no.7 (career-high), Matteo played his last match on the 14th of November when he had to retire when playing against world no.3 Alexander Zverev in the round robin and the scoreline was 7-6(7) 1-0 .
At present, during this year the Italian has managed to achieve a compiled 41-12 win-loss record. The Italian clinched 2 titles in 2021 in Belgrade and in London. Berrettini reached the final in Madrid and in Wimbledon.

Ranked no.45, Ajla played her last match on the 5th of November when she lost to world no.23 Belinda Bencic 6-3 6-2 in the Rubber 1 in (draw).
This year Tomljanovic has an overall 30-24 record.
