Emma Raducanu had a fantastic 2021 following her incredible success at the US Open. However, what was really remarkable was that Emma conquered the American slam without having much experience. Therefore, the nineteen-year-old finds herself in a rather unique situation with other players dreaming about beating her, the US Open champion, even if she hasn’t be around for that much.

According to British tennis legend Virginia Wade, Raducanu may struggle with the fact that she is the target on her head from the other players.
Virginia commented:
“There are an awful lot of very good players out there and she’s got a target on her now.” The British legend added that she always had faith in Emma to say:
“When people were ready to pick on her because she didn’t finish the match, I absolutely wasn’t because those things can happen.”

Currently the world no.19 (career-high), Emma played her last match on the 9th of November when she lost to world no.102 Xin Yu Wang 6-1 6-7(0) 7-5 in the 2nd round in Linz (draw).
This year Raducanu achieved a compiled 25-9 win-loss record. Emma clinched 1 title at the U.S. Open. Emma was the finalist in the Chicago.
