Xin Yu Wang surprises Emma Raducanu 6-1 6-7(0) 7-5 in the 2nd round in Linz on Tuesday. Wang will play against Alison Riske in the quarter. The battle lasted 2 hours and 36 minutes.

Emma Raducanu was completely overplayed in the first set. However, she found a way to bounce back in style in the second set to bring the affair to the decider. Unfortunately, Emma got injured in the third set to ask for medical attention. Nevertheless, she managed to put up a huge fight to lose only after more than 2 hours and a half.

Emma will now take some rest before getting ready for the offseason. She announced that she will be coached by Torben Beltz. The German used to coach Angelique Kerber.

“It’s obviously a great privilege to be working with such an experienced coach. I’m definitely very excited to work with him throughout the pre-season and into next year,” said Raducanu.
