Jannik Sinner explains why he played so well in his opening match in Indian Wells

In his Indian wells opening match, Jannik Sinner played a fantastic match against John Millman to beat the Australian 6-2 6-2 in just 74 minutes. Millman was particularly surprised by the performance of the Italian to have a big smile at the net and say: “You were f***ing so good today”

Jannik appeared particularly pleased after the match to comment:

“Today, I played very well. I didn’t miss many shots and I felt great on court. I had one week of practice here so it was quite long to prepare, which is very good.”

Sinner will face either Isner or Nishioka in his following match.
