Ranked world no.27, Badosa achieved a compiled 35-14 win-loss record in 2021. The Spaniard is now competing in Ostrava where she overcame Varvara Gracheva 6-2 6-2.
Paula Badosa Gibert will face the world no.30 Anett Kontaveit in the 2nd round on Wednesday at 8:30 pm on Center Court. In the past, they have never competed against each other as of now on the main tour.
