Emma Raducanu has captured the imagination of many tennis fans and beyond after winning her US Open title. There was a sort of “Raducanu’s effect” in the UK after Emma’s inspiring win in New York. The consequence is that many people are back playing tennis with the courts often fully booked.
During an entertaining interview with Good Morning Britain, Emma Raducanu confessed that she is a victim of her own success since she is also struggling when trying to book a court for some practice.
Emma revealed: “Can I just say that I cannot book a tennis court either?”
Shephard and Kate Garraway were amused by the admission. Kate suggested: “Can’t you just turn up and say: ‘I’m Emma Raducanu. Give me the court!’ Surely everybody has to hand it over?”
That’s her life now!
