Emma Raducanu is having an incredible US Open after winning 7 consecutive matches without dropping a single set. The young British sensation was incredible when she crashed Shelby Rogers 6-2 6-1 just after the American player upset the world number 1 Ashleigh Barty.
Emma was all smiles during the press conference that followed her match against Shelby Rogers. When Raducanu was asked to reveal how much people are happy in the UK, she disclosed that everyone is happy, but that she was ghosted by her own parents.

“I’ve got quite a lot of messages from my school friends. It’s really nice that we’re still in contact even though we’ve left. I mean, it was quite a short time ago.
My parents actually like ghosted me after the match. I texted them, but they didn’t reply even though they were online. Yeah, that meant something.
But yeah, it’s just been such a supportive reaction and atmosphere after Wimbledon and here. I mean, I’m just feeling like really, really happy. I think that’s really showing in my game on court,” she said.
Emma Raducanu will compete against the world no.12 Belinda Bencic in the quarter on Wednesday at 12:00 pm on Arthur Ashe Stadium. In the past, they have never competed against each other up to now on the main tour.
