Emma is very happy with her new life and she looks forward to competing at the US Open

Emma Raducanu hit the headlines loud and strong when she reached the fourth round in Wimbledon after she was granted a wild card for the main draw. The 18-year old grabbed the attention of the tennis fans and beyond thanks to her style and also sparkling personality.

Emma is now in the US, where she has participated in some tournaments. She reached the final at the recent tournament in Chicago after an outstanding run confirming her great potential.

The young British player is now in New York, where she is about to start to play the qualifications for the US Open main draw.

During a conference in Zoom, Emma confirmed that she lost her new lifestyle. She said:

“I’ve honestly loved it. I think that this has been the longest trip I’ve ever done. In total it might be like five weeks in the end, so it’s definitely a new thing for me, and it’s probably gonna be my life from now on, and I’m honestly just taking every week as it comes. The trip has just flown by because we’ve just been focusing on the craft every single day and taking care.”

Emma will face the world 283 in her opening match in New York.

Now ranked no.150 (career-high), Emma played her last match on the 22nd of August when she lost to world no.77 Clara Tauson 6-1 2-6 6-4 in the final of the WTA Chicago 125 Chicago (draw).

Currently, during this year Emma has managed to achieve an overall 13-6 win-loss record. Emma Raducanu’s latest run in Chicago was the best achievement of her season.
