Emma Raducanu had a fantastic week in Chicago, where she reached the final before losing only in 3 sets to Clara Tauson.

Emma received a well-deserved wildcard for the main draw, but she had the bad news that she had to clash as early as in the first round against the seed number 1 Alison Van Uytvanck. Nevertheless, Emma managed to surprise Alison to beat her in straight sets 7-67 6-3.

From that moment on, Emma kept on winning until she reached the final. After this run, Raducanu gained 24 places in the rankings to be the new world number 150, which is also her career-high rank.

Emma will go to New York, where she is expected to play the US Open qualifications. She posted the following message posting a picture of her posing near the iconic Bean in Chicago:

“happy days, see you soon Chicago 🧡.”
