Cori Gauff had a rather straightforward win over Su-Wei Hsieh (6-1 6-2) in the first round in Cincinnati. The young American player was extremely confident during the match. Later, she confirmed that her confidence came also from a perfect scouting report from her father and coach Corey.
Coco said:
“I definitely had a lot of confidence especially because she is a tricky opponent and someone who has beats top players. You kinda don’t know what to expect. My dad’s scouting report was the most detailed it’s ever been.”
