Stefanos Tsitsipas spent some time in Greece after he participated in the Olympic Games in Tokyo. The world number 4 will head to Toronto in Canada to play the local ATP1000. However, he will leave his country while it is struggling with ravaging wildfires.
The wildfires are affecting Greece and Turkey, with thousands fleeing a very dangerous situation. Stefanos Tsitsipas posted his support for Grace we are posted on Instagram saying:
“Sending prayers today to all the families and wildlife in Greece who are affected by this immense tragedy our country is facing. We will get through this together.”

Ranked world no.4 (career-high), Stefanos played his last match on the 28th of July when he was defeated by world no.28 Ugo Humbert 2-6 7-6(4) 6-2 in the 3rd round in Tokyo (draw).
This year Tsitsipas has achieved a composed 42-12 win-loss record. Tsitsipas clinched 2 titles in 2021 in Monte-Carlo and in Lyon. Stefanos was the runner-up in Acapulco, in Barcelona and at the French Open.
