Rafael Nadal is the biggest attraction of the upcoming ATP 500 (Citi Open) that will be staged in Washington. The crowd will mainly focus on Rafa, but there will also be a bit of attention on Sebastian Korda. The 21-year-old seems to be destined to become the American no.1 quite soon and the fans are attracted by his watchable tennis and easy-going personality.
The organization of the Citi Open had the brilliant idea of organizing a training between Rafael Nadal and Sebastian Korda with the presence of the local crowd.
Needless to say, tennis fans in Washington didn’t miss the opportunity to see this special training and long queues were formed outside the premises.

Now ranked no.3, Nadal played his last match on the 11th of June when he capitulated to world no.1 Novak Djokovic 3-6 6-3 7-6(4) 6-2 in the semifinal in French Open (draw).

Now ranked no.47, Korda played his last match on the 5th of July when he lost to world no.25 Karen Khachanov 3-6 6-4 6-3 5-7 10-8 in the 4th round in Wimbledon (draw).
This season Sebastian achieved a compiled 26-12 match record. The American has won 2 titles in 2021 in the Quimper Challenger and in Parma. Korda was the finalist in Delray Beach.
