Devastating news for Nadia Petrova.
Unfortunately the Russian has to cope with the sudden and terrible loss of her mother Nadezhda Ilyina (64 years of age).
The news was broken from Nadia’s colleague and friend Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova that has tweeted “Very bad news. Nadia Petrova’s mother died in a car crash.”
“Oh my god!its just terrible news to find out!My deepest condolences to Nadia and to the whole family!!i feel so bad..;(“
Nadezhda Ilyina was also a top class competitor has she has won the bronze medal at the 1976 Montreal Olympics in the 400 meter relay.
