Nick Kyrgios keeps on pulling out from tournaments. The world no.58 decided not to play anymore last year after the pandemic outbreak, and this year he played only 6 matches. Nick decided to skip the entire clay-court season, and it seems that he will also miss playing on grass this year.
Nick was meant to play the current ATP500 at the Queen’s Club and the upcoming ATP250 in Mallorca, but he retired, citing an issue with his neck.
Nick Kyrgios’ injury
This was Kyrgios’ statement: “My tennis family, I’m sorry my return has been pushed back as I am having some uncomfortable pain in my neck at the moment. I’m trying to get on top of it but as I can’t serve 100 per cent I will only be returning when I feel I can make full impact on the tour. Will stay in touch.”
At this point, given also his adversity to traveling, it is plausible that Kyrgios will also skip Wimbledon where he reached the quarters 7 years ago.
