Rafael Nadal and Jannik Sinner are going to play in a mouth-watering fourth round in the French Open. The Spanish sensation has a winning record against the Jannik Sinner. However, Rafa is very well aware that the young Italian is a big threat.

During the press conference that followed his successful match against Cameron Norrie, Nadal explained why he was not that happy about playing Jannik Sinner so early in the tournament:

“You can’t expect an easy opponent out there. Jannik is not the best fourth round. Without a doubt, he’s a dangerous one.

He’s young. He’s a great player. We know each other well, so let’s see. I need to be ready to play at a very high level of tennis to have chances to be in the quarter-finals, and I’m going to fight for it.”

Nadal and Sinner already played against each other in the quarter-final of the French Open last year. Rafa Nadal won that match in straight sets, but the world number 3 admitted that he was lucky because Sinner was leading by a break in both the first and second set. On that occasion, Jannik Sinner had out for the opportunity to serve-out the first set.
