Italian player banned for breaching anti-corruption law

Bad news for Italy.

Ranked world no. 869, Claudia Coppola was about to try to get a good career in tennis to be stopped be a nasty sentence: banned for 6 months for breaching the anti-corruption law.

What happened?

According to the Tennis Integrity Unit, Claudia Coppola solicited a player not to give her best effort breaking the rule against match fixing.

Claudia was fined $4.000. She can pay $3.000 if she follows an anti-corruption training program.
