Djokovic to face Raonic in Davis Cup semifinal

It’s time for Nole to bounce back!

The world no.1 came back empty handed from the North American summer and he wants to get some joy.

A quick way is definitely winning the Davis Cup semifinal against Canada. Team Serbia will have a tough task ahead as on the other side there is an always tricky Raonic (world no.11) and a rising Pospisil (now ranked 41.).

Team Serbia is not at his very best has they can’t count on a banned Troicki and former top 10 Janko Tipsarevic is not having a good year to be now ranked world no.23 with a rather depressing 18-19 win/loss record in 2013.

Bogdan Obradovic: We will see Nole’s conditions

The captain of Team Serbia Bogdan Obradovic commented “Djokovic’s always made it clear that he is honoured to play for Serbia

We will see how he feels when he gets here from the United States. He chose to play for Serbia and knows what the requirements are but nonetheless he will get well-deserved time off to recuperate.”

Djokovic vs. Raonic

If Nole plays, he should face Raonic on Sunday in the reverse singles. Interesting enough this would be the first match between these two.
