It was the second time in a week he was facing his friend and fellow countryman David Ferrer in an ATP final.
Today he managed again to win in straight set against a player that is arguably the second best in the world on this surface.
As Ferrer said Nadal is a player with a tremendous focus and this made again the difference today. This was clear especially in the second set when Ferrer was 4-2 up. He just broke Nadal serve and he was bringing the match to the third set. Then Nadal just stood still playing every shot as it was the last one.
Game over: Nadal got a 4-0 stint that gave him his 6th title in Barcelona.
