Stefanos Tsitsipas did not have a fantastic experience last week in Madrid after he lost as early as in the third round at the hands of Casper Ruud. Nevertheless, Stefanos Tsitsipas’ season has been quite successful so far. The Greek sensation has a remarkable 27-7 record in 2021, and even more important, he is also leading the so-called year-to-date rankings.
During a recent interview in Rome, Stefanos expressed his happiness in leading these particular rankings saying that consistency is the rule of the game for him right now.
“That’s great news that I’m still there [no.1 in the year-to-date rankings]. I’m fighting for it every single week.
I didn’t have a very good week last week in Madrid, but so far it’s looking good. I had been very consistent, which obviously helps to be in that situation and I’m looking forward to being able to perform the same way,” said Stefanos.
Stefanos will commence his run in Rome from the second round since he is seeded number 4. The Greek sensation will face either Marin Cilic or Alexander Bublik.
